Look, 2 posts in one day. I think that's a record. I was just so excited, I had to write! So, I FINALLY got my wheelchair in today! YAY ME!!!! Not that I love wheelchairs, they are super uncomfortable! But It's so much better than having to be carried around like a sack of potatoes everywhere by my hubby! And, my boys love it, so I can take them around the house on my lap. It is so great! The wheelchair is a manual one, so it kills what little muscle I have in my arms, but it's so worth it. It will make my arms stronger faster, and I can even start using my feet to push myself around once I can use my feet again.
Update: I got my second steroid treatment today, so only one more to go! YAY!!!! Then I can get this IV out, so it can stop itching the bageebees outta me, and my boys will stop hitting it.
As of today I still can't walk, in fact, my legs feel worse than they did yesterday, not really a good sign I don't think. But I am sure they will only get better from here, I mean, they can't really get much worse. The doc says every episode I have it will take longer for my body to get better, until one day nothing works, and I'm just stuck. But no sympathy for me!!!!!! Because it could always be worse. Not like MS can kill me. It just cripples, but I have a great support system, so I'm not the least bit worried. Now I have a rockin wheelchair, I can learn to do wheelies on, and put on a great show :)
I go into my neurologist next Thursday, and he will let me know where we'll be going from here. More shots? More tests to see how this one affected me? More monitoring? We'll discuss it all next week.
Just remember....I don't want ANY sympathy!!!! Things could always be worse. I'm the luckiest girl alive :)

You, my dear, amaze me. And yay for wheelies! Make sure Josh's number is in your phone and call him if you ever need anything. He ALWAYS answers his phone. Throw my number in there too, but I suck at answering.... you know. :)
ReplyDeleteWe love you and hope all of the upcoming news is good. :)
Hey Neighbor, I'm glad to see your spirits are always strong! Even though I don't know you super well I've always admired that about you. My mother in law has MS too and she just started seeing a new neurologist who actually specializes in MS (thank heavens!). I hope the two of you will continue to receive cutting edge medical attention! :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there Sis!!!! If my brother isn't taking care of you....let me know ;) love to you and your boys...even the adult size one :). Take care and keep us updated.
