First of all, an update on the whole being back in school, and this time actually not procrastinating, and teaching my son that terrible habit...remember the report he had to do? Remember how I said I was gonna do it last weekend so I could claim to not be a slacker? Remember how it's due on the 8th (being this Monday)? Well....I am still a huge slacker! My son went into my room tonight, and saw the report posted on the board so I would remember to do it, and came running out saying "Mommy! I think I have homework!" As strange as it is, he was actually excited about the homework. I looked at the paper and thought "uh-oh! That's due in like 2 days! and we still have to get clay to make a dang model of that animal". So, we sat down for like 30 minutes and read all about his animal "the Adelie", which is a penguin by the way. Then he wrote his name and the animals name on the paper. He found his favorite picture from online (because he is just as artistically talented as his parents, and refuses to attempt to draw the thing). By that time he was sick of it, and so was I. So we put it up for the night. Fortunately, all we have left for the report is for him to write 3 sentences about the animal, and make the clay model thing of it.
Now, for my story (not that that wasn't a story, but the story behind my title)...So, on Tuesday I woke up and was EXTREMELY sick! I could not swallow, my whole body ached, and I had an INSANE headache (no, I'm not complaining, but I need to give a little background). So, my mom called and said I sounded really bad. She asked if I was going to work, and I told her, of course, I have no sick time, I gotta work. She said "okaaaayyy" kinda like a ur crazy but okay kind of tone. So, I lasted 2 hours at work, before I just could not handle it anymore. My mom called again and asked if I was working. I told her no, I felt too miserable. She said "well, you should go get a throat culture, I think it's strep." I told her I would wait and see what it was like in a couple days. I hate going to the doctor for every little thing. So, a couple days later (being yesterday) I was still miserable, and no medicine was helping, so I decided I would listen to my mom and get into the doctor. And guess what...she was right, I do have strep! How in the world can she guess that? She didn't see how miserable I was, she just spoke to me over the phone for a couple minutes and knew. And this isn't the first time my mom has known best. Pretty much EVERY time my mom has an opinion about something, it has been so right on. How did she get so smart? Is there any possible way I will ever be that smart some day? I hope so!
Oh, and a side note, the shot they give for strep totally KILLS!!!! It's still hurting, and I got it 29 hours ago. On the plus side, I am feeling TONS better! And, since I can't remember to take a pill for the life of me, the shot is definitely worth it!

Yep. You'll be exactly like her and when your kids call they'll hang up and tell all their friends that their mommy is the smartest (and beautifulest!) one on the planet. :) Glad you're finally feeling better.
