So, as you all know, we have been "renting" out the basement since the end of July 2009. That's been like 7 months or so. There are a few pros to having renters. Unfortunately, every pro you can think of didn't happen with these particular renters.
As of the day before Valentine's Day, we have had our house all to ourselves, and it has been SWEET!!!! It took us 1 week to get it completely cleaned, and back to our schedules. Yes, we have a schedule. It makes things with the boys run so much smoother!
So, here are the reasons why I am loving having my house back, all to ourselves:
1) The utility costs are cut in more than half (from over $450 a month to under $200 a month)
2) I have not seen my boys laugh and have so much fun since just before they moved in.
3) We finally have our schedule back
4) I get to clean up after 4 people instead of 8 (with 2 awesome helpers)
5) I get to enjoy cooking again, and cooking what my family loves.
6) I get to do laundry when I want
There are many pros. These are just a few. In short, I am LOVING having my house back to just my family...

ReplyDeleteWoot! I'm glad you have your house to yourself again! I couldn't have handled it that long!!!! You are a much better person than me :) We need to catch up FOR SURE next time I'm in Utah! I miss you, Erek and the boys!!
