Things kids say....

I'm pretty sure I have the funniest 4 (almost 5) year-old in the world! Every Tuesday and Wednesday we take the long trip to West Jordan for my physical therapy, and then Every Tuesday and Thursday night we take the trip back to Eagle Mountain (That sounds kinda confusing, but we spend the night on Wednesday). Basically, we are in our car travelling quite a bit. Now, because of the good ol' road construction, the trip takes more than an hour each way.

Anyone that knows Braedyn, knows he is very much like his mom. His mouth is 7-11 (always open). We have attempted quiet time with him. It lasts about 30 seconds, then he has a burning question, or something he just HAS to say. So, that leads to a LOT of talking on our trips.

Today, as I was driving up to Salt Lake, a song came on the radio that I like. I think it's a funny song. And then Braedyn added his twist and it's even better. I am a huge country fan (In case you didn't know ;) ). The Toby Keith song "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" came on the radio. Braedyn says "this is MY song mom! It's the song that the girls are silly and shake their bums" and then he starts singing "And whoo-wee, SHUT my mouth, slap the BAD guy (supposed to be slap your grandma) ...That honky tonk baDONKadonk..."

The rest of the trip up to my parents he was telling me all about his first ambulance ride (the one when he was 2 and fell down the stairs, and was knocked unconscious). He actually remembered very vivid details. That kid has such an AWESOME memory!

On the way home he was a little upset that we weren't staying the night, so he was pretty grumpy. For those who have seen his grumpy mood, you know how "fun" that can be. At one point he started going off about how I had him go potty, but he didn't want to, and he didn't need to, but I'm such a mean mommy and I made him. But mommy's aren't supposed to be mean, so I need to tell him sorry for having him go potty. I told him I had him go so he would be able to make it home. His response "you know, it's not the end of the world mom!" Not really sure how that fit into the conversation. I thought it was hilarious and couldn't even respond.
