As everyone knows, I hope, yesterday was EASTER!!!! I love Easter! Especially with kids, and especially when I have my 4-year-old who likes to ask a LOT of questions.

So, Braedyn joined in before all the eggs were taken...

After all the eggs were picked up Braedyn said "The Easter bunny didn't HIDE the eggs, even Brock could find them. The Easter Bunny isn't a very good hider! I should hide the eggs for him."

And, of course, Braedyn had to "help" Brock go through his basket...
And then...breakfast time!

My boys BEGGED to have their eggs for breakfast. I was good with that, less cooking for me, especially since it was fast Sunday!

It was time for bed...
When my boys woke up, I went in their room to get them (because they stay in their room playing until mommy or daddy come to get them). The first words out of my son's mouth were "Did the Easter Bunny come?!" He was SO excited all day Saturday, he wouldn't even take a nap (yes, my 4, almost 5-year-old still takes a 3 hour nap every afternoon. If you ever saw him when he didn't get one, you would understand why him and I NEED it). So I told him, you'll just have to see for yourself. So I grabbed Brock out of his crib, and had Braedyn close his eyes. He held onto my walker as we first walked into the living room. I told him the first thing is from mommy and daddy. He opened his eyes and...whalah....
A bike that actually fits him! The bike he had was one he got for his second birthday from Grandpa Rey. Needless to say, he's a little bigger than he was at 2, and had very much outgrown that bike. And he was SUPER excited. Don't let the dorky look fool you, he likes to act like a goofball.
Then he turned around to look in the kitchen to check out if his basket had anything in it.
Obviously, it did. But, he couldn't go through it yet, because his brother started taking off, picking up all the eggs...
So, Braedyn joined in before all the eggs were taken...
But, after finding the eggs, he was ecited cuz then he could see all the stuff the easter bunny brought him...
Brock's favorite part was the Peeps...And just before church, I left Brock in the kitchen for 2 minutes while I went and got my nylons on, and by the time I got back, he had already eaten 3 peeps...that's my boy! :)
Then it was off to church, since we have 9:00 church. Braedyn must have actually listened in church, because that is what raised all his questions. We went to my parents for Easter dinner, which is like a 45 minute drive. This is what I learned from Braedyn on the way there...
Jesus was killed a long time ago by some bad people. They hit him and beat him up, and put him on a cross. Then he died. His friends put him in a tomb..."which is like a cave, mom" (with his attitude), and they put a big rock in front of it. Then today some angels came and moved the rock, and Jesus was "Resurrected" (yes, he actually said it correctly). And now he's "inortal" (Immortal). And that means he can't die again! And after we die, we can be "inortal" too!
I was surprised how much he learned from primary. However, this led to questions about my Grandpa, who passed away in September 2007. He wanted to know if he was resurrected, and why we didn't put him in a tomb. He asked if he was hung on the cross by bad people too. It led to a full discussion which lasted the entire trip. And this is why I think Easter is so fun. It now requires me to remember the gospel teachings so I can teach them correctly to my very curious 4-year-old. And it's great that he now is old enough to understand what Easter is all about. In fact, after church, he didn't even care about all the candy, and was more than willing to just give it all away to Grandma Moser.
For Family night, we had a great lesson on Easter as well, and Braedyn bore his testimony. He LOVES to bear his testimony! And then we had my attempt at making a holiday treat
They turned out pretty good. There was a chocolate egg in the middle that sunk to the bottom, so I must have doen something wrong, but they still tasted yummy!
Then, after a long, crazy, fun-filled day...

Your boys are basically the most adorable kids ever (next to my nieces and nephew of course) :) They are getting SO big!!! Braedyn looks so much like Erek! I miss you guys!

That is so dang cute! And I'm so glad he listened in Primary! He must have a fantastic teacher, because it's not easy to get that much into a 4 year old's 1-hour class! Good job everyone. :) Your boys are adorable, and I'm glad the day was so great.
