It's been FIVE years?!?!?!
Can you believe we have lived in our house for ALMOST five years? I have been slowly coming to this realization over the past month. Just before we moved in, our ward was split. It used to be all 6 streets in the subdivision, and they split it so now our ward is 3 streets, and my brother's ward is the other 3 streets. Whenthe wards spilt, we got a new bishop. Our bishop was seriously the GREATEST bishop anyone could ever ask for! But, it has been five years. And everyone knows what happens to a bishop after 5 years....he gets released! I have been thinking about it for a month, wondering when it was going to happen, and yesterday it FINALLY did. I was pretty much bummed all day. I am sure our new bishop will be great. He lives right next door to us. He is very strict, stick to the law type of guy. His wife is on city council. I really don't know a whole lot about them, even though they live right next door to us. Kinda sad, huh. All their kids are older, so my boys don't hang out with them, thus why I don't really talk to them a lot. I guess really the problem is I have a hard time with change. We could blame this on my parents for me having such a stable home environment all growing up. I lived in the same house my whole life, and my parents still live there after over 30 years. I went to West Jordan Elementary, West Jordan Middle, and West Jordan High. If there was a West Jordan College, I would have gone there. And, if the houses in West Jordan weren't so darn expensive, I would live there. See, I have issues with change :)

I bet you'll love your new bishop - at least I hope so! :)
