We have had one CRAZY busy month (or so). Fortunately, I LOVE being busy. I go crazy when I'm not.
To start the month off, I started my new job as a Scholarship Counselor at WGU. My first day on the job my supervisor came in, said some stuff came up over the weekend, and she would not be there the rest of the week. In fact, that day she was only going to be there for an hour to train me, then I would be left to train myself the rest of the week, as the only other scholarship person was on vacation for the week. The next week she had me come in for a few hours on Monday and Wednesday for training, then was gone Friday and through the whole next week. She came back yesterday, and I have already taught myself everything, so she has put me in charge of the biggest scholarship there. Fun stuff. So, after 3 weeks on the job, I have had a supervisor for 1/2 a week. But I am LOVING the craziness of it! It's a fun change.
Also this month:
-Braedyn has started his first season of soccer, which takes up every Wednesday and Thursday night.
-Brock has started his testing with the school district to see if he qualifies for their services, and to see if he will be starting preschool in October or not.
-My co-teacher in the primary was released as my co-teacher, so I have had to plan a lesson for 16 children every week instead of every other week.
-Braedyn will be starting school on the 25th (so just over a week away) and we still don't know what track he is on, or who his teacher is. We will find this out on the 20th. And I need to try to figure out what school supplies would a 1st grader need? They should really mail a list or something. Kind of like with the Middle School and High School students, they send them a whole packet of info in the mail. That would be nice! I also need to decide if we just wanna pay the $1.50 a day for school lunch, or try to figure out good lunches he can take to school with him, that don't need to be heated up or refrigerated (unless I buy a lunch bag that can keep it cooled).
-Also, I have been spending a bunch of time while at my parents, helping my mom plan the Moser Family Reunion that will be on the 28th of this month. In case ur wondering, planning one of these things is very time consuming! How on earth do u keep over 100 people occupied for 3 hours (assuming they eat for an hour), with ages ranging from under 1 to over 60 (I'm not really sure how old my oldest uncle is. When ur dad comes from a family of 15 children u lose track of these things easily). Oh, and the budget pretty much sucks. Not really sure why, seeing as how every adult has to contribute $10 a year to the family fund, and they make money with auctions and stuff. They only give us a budget of about $250. This is to include hamburger meat, hot dogs, buns, condiments, drinks, price of rental place, games, and prizes. Do u have any idea how much the food alone for over 100 people costs? Of course we buy it all at Costco, but still, it adds up.
-I decided it was time to go through each room in the house to de-junk, reorganize, wash down walls, shampoo carpets, etc. Basically as deep clean as we can get the house, and have it all done before baby comes. Erek agrees with this, but isn't so fond of spending every day going through 6+ years of junk.
-I also decided it was time to finish the backyard already. I mean, it has been over 6 years, we don't have any excuses to have a backyard looking like that! So, I have laid out plans, and have Erek doing yard work to get it ready for the seed by the end of next month. Unfortunately for him, this means taking the junk to the dump, tilling the yard, digging out a huge area for the play area, laying stones at the top of the driveway (which of course means digging that area up too, and figuring out exactly how to lay them so they look good and stay) and cementing in the basketball standard (which is still at my parents house). If anyone LOVES yard work, I'm sure he would be more than happy to have the help, as I am completely useless with the heavy labor stuff right now. Also, if u know anyone with a good tiller, that would be great, it would sure save us the cost of the rental. Or, if u know how to lay the stones, advice would be great. Basically, we know nothing about how to do the yard. I would love to put in the deck, but I'm thinking this will be a bit too pricey for us right now. Unfortunately, I have no connections for cheaper stones or bricks, or cement or anything, so we have to pay full price for all of this.
I think that's all we've done this month. It has actually been super busy, not a whole lot of free time. And once Braedyn starts school, and we have 30-60 minutes of homework time each night added on top of that, and then adding our amazing new one to the mix, it's sure to be a FUN Fall!!!

WOW!!! You are busy! I can't believe Braedyn will be in 1st grade! At our Wal-Mart schools have put out lists of school supplies... Don't know if they do that there or not, but you could check! When are you due again? Crazy fun stuff! And congrats on the job! YAY
