today was a big day for our little growing family. This morning our ears heard the incredible sound of little Charlie's heartbeat. Braedyn was not fortunate enough to be ther. Unfortunately, I had to schedule my appointment while he was in school. However, Brock really enjoyed it. Our doctor is just incredible. He had Brock hold the little machine that u hear the heartbeat through. The doctor held the end that he put on my belly to find the heartbeat. when he was ready, he had Brock push the blue button so we could try to find the heartbeat. After Brock pushed the button, he heard my heartbeat and laughed at this crazy machine. A few seconds later the doctor found little Charlie's heartbeat. It was SO fast! Just like all little ones. But here's the even cooler part. He told Brock to put his hand on the bottom part of the thing he was holding and he was able to FEEL the heartbeat. Brock thought that was super cool. When the doctor told him to push the blue button again to turn it off, he didn't want to. He wanted to feel Charlie's heartbeat for a little longer. After a few seconds longer, he finally decided he could push the blue button to turn it off. My little man is right on his way to becoming a doctor. He did so great :). Only 7 more weeks before we find out what we're having! And Braedyn will DEFINITELY be at that one.
Oh, this reminds me of a funny story. On Saturday, I finally told Braedyn that I have a baby in my tummy (Because he has been hearing us talk and was a little confused. He thought we were talking about Brock, because we said we're calling the baby Charlie, and Brock is the baby). When I told him I had a baby in my tummy and he was going to be having another little brother or sister, he said "Who put baby's in ur tummy?" He was completely confused. I couldn't stop laughing long enough to figure out how to respond exactly. Is it time to have a small, not super detailed, talk with the little man? Is he really old enough?
