It's a New Year

I can't believe January is almost over, and I have yet to make a blog post. I know I've always been a bit of a procrastinator, and late for everything, and have a new baby taking up most of my prior free time, but still, that's no excuse. I really need to get better at this whole blog thing.

I was thinking this morning that I still have not set new year's resolutions. I typically like to avoid these because I am terrible at sticking to them. I figure if I have no goals, and accomplish something, then it was a successful year, right? :) Well, I've decided it's probably better to at least set goals and TRY to be better, so this year I am making some New Year's resolutions for the first time in I don't know how long (yay! already one goal met).

As I tried to remember 2010, I couldn't really rember a whole lot of what happened. I remember the people who lived with us moved out. I was miserably sick for a few months with pregnancy, but then had an overall great pregnancy. We had our 3rd baby, which was a HUGE transition that we are still trying to get used to. I experienced baby blues for the first time EVER, which was really hard on Erek. I changed jobs. And that is all I remember. Yes, eventful, but I know more happened than that. Maybe if I get better at my blog, I'll be able to remember those things more.

So, after realizing I don't remember anything, and life just always seems to fly by, I started making a list of what I want to accomplih this year. My list ended up being VERY long, so I picked just a few items to focus on for a start. So, here you have it, my New Years resolutions for 2011:

1) Be more active: work out at least 3 times a week, 30 minutes a day on the Wii Fit. When the weather gets warmer, go for a run every morning (not sure how far, depends on where I am at when that time comes, can't overdo it and end up in a wheelchair from the MS). With this goal I hope to be able to run a 5K by the end of 2012 (this year if I can keep my MS under control enough)

2) Be a better mom: I want to spend better quality time with each child. I don't really know how to accomplish these yet since Erek works when I'm off, so I don't have him here to help out. But I will figure it out.

3) Get organized: I feel like my life is just a big jumbled mess half the time. So, I am going to make schedules for each child, like I used to have. I am going to finish organizing my house, so I don't waste so much time trying to find things, or cleaning. I started this last year, and things have definitely gotten easier.

That's my list I'm going to start on. If that goes well, and I decide to add more, I'll do that later. But for now, this is all :)
